Installing Divi 5

Divi 5 is production-ready and can be used on production websites. At this stage, upgrading to Divi 5 is still a manual opt-in and is not yet pushed automatically to Divi 4 users via the WordPress updater.

Any page saved with Divi 5 builder will not be editable with the Divi 4 builder again. If you want to revert to Divi 4 builder, you will need use the WordPress revision feature to restore the page to the last version saved with Divi 4 builder.

To install Divi 5

1. Make sure your environment meets the minimum requirements.
2. Download the latest Divi 5 release from the member's area.
3. Install the zip file and activate Divi 5 on your site.
4. Open any page and then enable visual builder.
5. You can now edit the page with Divi 5 builder. To confirm you are using the new builder, look for the Divi 5 UI.

You can edit any page saved with Divi 4 builder in Divi 5 and any Divi 4 module that is not yet available in Divi 5 will be rendered via the "Shortcode Module", which is able to render any Divi 4 module and its settings, and relies on ajax to render using the backend code.
